Jamaat-e-Islami, govt talks over expansion at D-Chowk today

JI dismisses govt's solicitation to end demonstration at Rawalpindi's Liaquat Bagh

The first round of talks between the national government and Jamaat-e-Islami pioneers is set to occur today (Sunday), however, Jamaat-e-Islami has immovably dismissed the public authority's solicitation to end the protest at Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi.

The two sides agreed on a basic level to hold the first round of talks.

On Saturday night, an administration board of trustees driven by Government Data Clergyman Attaullah Tarar, alongside Designer Amir Muqam and Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, drew in with Jamaat-e-Islami pioneers, including Bad Habit Amir Liaquat Baloch. The designation welcomed Jamaat-e-Islami for formal talks, which have been acknowledged by Ameer Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, who has framed a 4-part panel for the conversations.

Despite the discussions, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has repeated that Jamaat-e-Islami will only think once about their requests. The demonstration at Liaquat Bagh, which started on Friday, goes on with dissidents requesting activity against expansion, rising power costs, and exorbitant expenses. Hafiz Naeem underlined that Jamaat-e-Islami will keep up with their position and not end the protest until all requests are met.

On Friday, the protest saw endeavors by nonconformists to arrive at D-Chowk, prompting the capture of a few activists. The dissent stays unflinching, with Jamaat-e-Islami resolved to its objective until their requests are completely tended to.
