Plastic ice cream is made from used polythene bags

A British woman has invented an ice cream formula made from used polythene bags.


The female chemist left a special type of bacteria on the pieces of used plastic which turned the plastic into vanilla molecules. The researchers say that the ice cream is edible, but it will be necessary to get approval from the relevant authorities before eating it.

Currently, the ice cream is on display in London to raise awareness against plastic pollution.
