Helene hammers Florida as a Category 4 tropical storm then quickly debilitates as it moves inland; multiple million without power. Hurricane Helene was a perilous Classification 4 tempest when it made landfall over Florida's Large Twist region late Thursday night. However, it debilitated quickly as it hustled inland early Friday and was minimized to a typhoon in only hours, the Public Storm Community said.
